Jessica Ostrowicz is a prison lecturer, PhD candidate and artist from Birmingham, UK.

“After over a decade looking into repetition, ritual and trauma-inheritance, for the past two years I have begun to look more specifically at constructs of homeliness, and what ‘home’ means to people who don't have one.

During my time in Berlin (from September to December 2024), I'll be going through a year's notes I made while working with incarcerated men in the UK, with the aim of turning these into a series of drawings and sculptures made on and with paper. I'll also be completing an Arts Council England film about monuments to fleeting moments.” Jessica Ostrowicz
